This is a great watch, l think. The 1st version of this watch l bought failed to change the date and l returned it. I bought this watch on Amazon for about $100.00 more than l paid at Costco, but this watch works, at least so far. The watch face is big but the numerals are tiny. Fortunately l had cataract surgery last month so l can read the time, date, etc. The watch is indeed water resistant as l have been swimming, in a steam room and a sauna wearing the watch with no apparent problems.
When l received this watch from Amazon it arrived with no instructions. Fortunately l remembered how to set the time, etc. from the instructions that came with the watch l returned. I called lnvicta but HA HA that outfit is a joke providing zero support. When l inquired about watch temp specs( could it be worn in a sauna for example) l was told that lnvicta does not provide that info. Instead l was told that if my body could stand the environment, so could the watch! When l asked about a replacement battery number l was told that that info was not available, that when the battery failed l would have to send the watch back to lnvicta for battery replacement at a very high cost and it would takes 3 to 6 weeks to accomplish the task. I researched this and discovered many watchmakers that could replace the battery AND perform the pressure test verifying the watertightness of the seal.
So why do l think this watch is great? I don't know- l like the look and feel of the watch and it IS working so maybe l should say it COULD be great and only time will tell.

Despues de un tiempo de uso,he podido comprobar, que tiene un herror de distribucion en las marcas de la escala de los segundos del cronometro-minutos de la hora,ademas de escesiva olgura del visel giratorio.De manera que eso que proclama invicta de cuidado por el detalle nada.

This is a review of this watch and many other Invictas I have purchased. This watch came on time and looked great when it arrived. I have purchased over a dozen Invictas and this will be my last purchase of an Invicta product. The main problem I have is poor Quality and poor customer service. This particular watch fell off my wrist only three weeks after purchase. The main pin that goes through the case broke on one end and fell out and the band separated from the case. I called invicta and they are sending me 2 replacement pins that I will have to take to a jeweler who will of course charge me a few dollars to install. I decided to take this route because I have sent 4 watches in for repair and they all have cost me $28.00 dollars for shipping and have been shipped to Germany for simple repairs. The first time I did this it was for a simple watch band repair and it took four and a half months to return to me just to replace a pin. I have 4 sub aqua models that are self winding Two just quit working after about a year. So, I decided to buy more expensive invictas and "move up to" the venom reserves. I have purchased seven of these. 2 have been excellent, but three of these have been sent to Germany for 3-4 months (all quit running) at a cost of $28.00 each for shipping. And then the issue mentioned above with this venom hybrid. Invicta has many good looking watches, but overall quality is lacking, greatly! I feel that the $300.00 - $600.00 you spend on these Venom reserves should get you a much better and durable product. There are many choices out there from Seiko, Bulova, etc. in this price range that would be what you expect from a mid range priced watch. You would and should get many years of trouble free service. And I can only assume that other companies warranty procedures are not as screwed up! My advice,if you are shopping for a watch in this price range look to another brand, you'll be glad you did.
