Ingredients list for Quick and Easy Chicken Curry
- 800 grams Chicken on the bone cut into bite sized
- 1½ teaspoons Garam masala powder
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- ½ inch Cinnamon
- 2-3 Green cardamoms
- 3-4 Cloves
- 2 medium Onions grated
- 1 teaspoon Ginger paste
- 1 teaspoon Garlic paste
- ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
- 2 teaspoons Coriander powder
- 2 cups Tomato puree
- to taste Salt
- 1 teaspoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped, 1 tablespoon +
- 1½ teaspoons Garam masala powder
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cinnamon, cardamoms and cloves and sauté till fragrant.
- Add onions and sauté till well-browned. Add ginger paste and garlic paste, mix well and sauté for ½ minute.
- Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and a little water, mix well and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add tomato puree, mix and add salt. Mix again and cook till oil separates.
- Add chicken pieces, salt, 1 tablespoon coriander leaves, mix well and add garam masala powder. Mix well, cover and cook on medium heat for 20 minutes.
- Garnish with remaining coriander leaves and serve hot.
