Antonis was better than we could have hoped for in a Captain. We are a family of 4 (including a 5 and 16 year old) that chartered a Beneteau for a 2 week cruise at the peak of the tourist season in August. Even with very busy ports and improv needed to get into tight anchorages, Antonis's knowledge of the area, boating, and the ports/towns still equaled vacation success. He is excellent at reading the different styles and needs of his guests. I highly recommend chartering with Greek Water Yachts. I would suggest avoiding cruising in August though, if I had it to do over. July or September are better choices to still get warm water, but avoiding the largest crowds.

This was a sailing trip that had to be rescheduled several times due to Covid, and the team at Greek Water Yachts was more than accommodating and gracious. The trip itself was better than I could have ever anticipated with a skipper -- who was also the owner -- who went out of his way to make sure our time on the boat and our itinerary fit our personalities and travel style. It was clear from the moment we left the port that we were in excellent hands with Paros-born Antonis. His deft handling of his boat, deep connection to the Small Cyclades and its people, and commitment to ensuring that we also would develop a love of these beautiful islands and blue waters means that my husband and I cannot wait to return!

Great 7 days visiting 7 islands with the family. Breakfast and morning swim/SUP in a private lagoon and lunch in another. Evenings in a new Port to visit and new restaurants to try.. Nikos, our Captain was a fantastic captain keeping smooth sailing along the coasts to keep open crossings at a minimum. We were a family of 6 kids ages 17 -24 plus the boyfriend. Plenty of room and fun for all. Started and ended in Paros.

My family of four plus my wife's sister included a week long Small Cyclades trip on our recent trip to Greece and it surpassed all of our expectations. It was seven days of sunshine, swimming in the most beautiful dark blue and turquoise colored waters of remote coves, eating the freshest and most delicious food, and exploring the rocky and wild Greek landscape. A pivotal factor in the trip's success was our captain, Nick Boublis. Nick was a very gracious host, quiet and discreet, but also warm and observant. He very quickly realized what we liked best and drawing upon his extensive knowledge of the waters and islands of the area plotted out our trip day by day to ensure that we had a unforgettable experience. He even allowed us to occasionally pilot the boat and help with some of the docking tasks. We ended up sailing from Paros to Naxos, Iraklia, Antikeri, Amorgos, Gramvousa, Keros, Koufonisi, Kato Koufonisi and Antiparos. While in the Cyclades we had great food everywhere, but found three traditional Greek tavernas to be exceptional: 'Byzantino' in Prodromos, Paros; Koula’s place on Parikia Bay called 'Bounderaki'; and a Kafenio and Ouzomezedopolio named 'O Parvas' at the taxi stop in Hora, Amorgos. Additionally, despite never trying it before, we decided to rent a paddle board for the trip and it proved to be an excellent addition to our adventure.

Excellent trip with Nikos on his 39ft catamaran. The boat is perfectly equiped, very clean, confortable! Nikos knows perfectly the area so he'll make you discover wobderful islands, beautiful bays, villages, harbours, restaurants, etc.. Go ahead!

My first experience with Greek Water Yachts in June 2015 was so fantastic that I did it again in August 2017.

Booking is easy, the company is reponsive, helpful and informative. The sailing trips themselves are fantastic. I had two very different trips, as weather considerations as well as the choices made day by day, led us in two different directions. The boat was very comfortable, at anchor or moored as well as under sail or motor.

The Cyclades are full of beauty and interest. Swimming off the boat in beautiful, secluded places was a highlight of every day. Each time, the week was like a detox for mind, body and soul.

This was a trip of a lifetime for us (though I hope we can get a crack at it again at some point). The amount of freedom to explore and set out own schedule was unlike any other vacation we've taken and helped create a really special experience for us.

I felt like me, my wife, and the skipper, Costis, all clicked early on and it was just like having a friend along. The scenery was amazing and we got to experience the area at our own pace without any real distraction, interruption, or stress. Our skipper helped guide us in each of the places and had excellent suggestions to fit our preferences. This really couldn't have turned out better.

Amazing!
This is the best company, the best staff, the best boats, and the best islands in the world.
I highly recommend anyone seeing the Greek Islands by Greek Water Yachts. My family of 5 + my parents took a boat for 4 days and visited many islands.
Recommendation: trust your skipper and just go wherever he says is the best.

A fantastic professional and knowledgable company. We had a wonderful 5 day sailing trip around the Cyclades with Ilias as our captain. You will see things rarely seen by others, and you will truly experience the real Greece. This company was very easy to work with, very professional and very accommodating. A must!

We had the best family holiday ever with Dionysis as our skipper for the week sailing around the Cyclades. We shall never forget the fun and laughs we had with Dionysis as he let our kids sail the boat whilst we sang along to his playlist and trying to spot dolphins! The communication I had before the trip was super efficient and friendly and I felt confident with the choice we had made. I can’t rate this small company highly enough as the experience you will have is all about the skipper and as Greek water yachts only employ a few skippers you can be sure of a successful trip. We would love to do this trip again and please don’t hesitate to book with them!

Amazing trip towards Small Cyclades with skipper Antonis, that played a fundamental role during our adventures. He knows perfectly the area with all the best undiscovered places, making the sailing very authentic and not touristic. He has also a very good experience in sailing, you will feel comfortable even with 7 beaufort.

We took a one week vacation with Greek Water Yachts. I highly recommend the company, the management, and our Captain. This is a well-run business, who managed communications effectively and timely about our trip, who delivered on everything they promised, and gave our family a vacation to never forget. Concern about our safety was clearly important and made us very comfortable. And ensuring that we have a wonderful relaxing, memorable vacation was equally important. Don't hesitate! Enjoy!

We are a family of 4 (parents with 2 teenage girls of 15 and 19) and thought that since we have a freshmen in college, this might be our last family vacation for a while. We thought of Greece and found GWY online. We contacted them and decided to book a week in August 2017. We did our grocery shopping just before boarding, but we recommend that you meet your skipper first and check what you will need. The grocery store is right there across the street, so it is very convenient. Our skipper was Dionysis Savvas, a very knowledgeable and friendly sailor. We could not have been happier with him. We decided to let him tell us where to go and that was a good choice because depending on the winds, plans can change, that's what happened to us. He took us to beautiful coves, beaches and restaurants. The food was amazing, people are very hospitable, maybe the nicest people in Europe. The boat is not very big but was very comfortable, you can sleep 4 people and the skipper. GWY's philosophy is amazing, the way the owner, Antonis Biskentzis, sees it is that he only wants 4 people maximum and the skipper. He wants people to be comfortable and happy but also he wants the skipper to be comfortable and happy, and I think that it is a good way to run a business. Some cruises like this one try to put as many people as possible in a not very big boat (we saw some) and that does not look appealing to us. So in summary, great communication before trip, great welcome at the dock, great skipper that we adore, amazing cruise, beautiful and I mean, beautiful places, great food and people. Go for it, you will not regret it.
