    Amazon is going to have to change its description banner. This is NOT an FRS radio! This is a dual band, dual receiver Handheld Amateur Radio Transceiver! It is NOT for the Family Radio Service!

    This is an excellent radio, but it does have quirks. The most annoying quirk is that if you have it standing up on your desk, listening to a station and you bump it that it falls on its back, it will quickly turn off and turn back on again. Yaesu emailed me that this was the battery contacts. I found out that if you use the quick release holster, that won't happen, because the quick release holster holds the battery in very snug.

    It has many, many features, like Bluetooth, APRS, GPS, AM and FM broadcast reception, Marine and Air frequencies, color touch screen, channel activity monitor, variable band scope, C4FM (Yaesu's system Fusion), etc. It's also super easy to program, even manually, which I did.
