How to Hide Spider Veins, Stretch Marks, and More This Bikini Season

Prep your skin for swimsuit season with tips from PopSugar!

Don't let bruises, blisters, blue veins, or stretch marks keep you from baring your legs this summer. You can don short shorts, high-cut bikinis, and miniskirts with just a little bit of extra coverage (that is, if you choose, of course.) Read on to discover three ways to hide your tiny imperfections during the warmer months.

__Problem: Stretch Marks

Solution: Self-Tanner__

Giving yourself an allover bronze this summer will distract from uneven skin tone. To camouflage stretch marks, strategically apply a self-tanner, like Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs, with a cotton swab on lighter marks.

__Problem: Bruises

Solution: Body Cover-Up__

Somehow, summer seems to lend itself to more unidentified bumps and bruises. For excellent coverage, turn to body makeup, such as Dermablend Leg and Body Cover SPF 15. This professional-grade product can even mask tattoos. Just apply over dark spots and top with the setting powder for all-day coverage. (Protect your skin, too, with a waterproof sunscreen. Even a slight sunburn increases your risk of melanoma.)

__Problem: Spider Veins

Solution: Yellow Concealer__

Minimize the appearance of blue-green lines caused by varicose and spider veins by using a yellow or orange waterproof concealer, like Maybelline Cover Stick Corrector. Then apply a body foundation over top to cover the problem spots. You can also help minimize the appearance of veins prior to slipping into a bikini by wearing support stockings on the airplane before your next vacation.
