Dermatology & Otology Services at Tufts VETS

The skin is the largest and most visible organ of the body. Dermatologic problems can impact both the external appearance of animals and their quality of life. At Tufts VETS we offer diagnosis and treatment for all diseases affecting the skin, ears, claws, hair coat and mucosal surfaces. Routine diagnostic procedures include: skin scrapings, cytology and culture. Specialized diagnostic and treatment services include: intradermal (skin) and in vitro (blood/serum) allergy testing and allergen-specific immunotherapy, biopsy and dermatohistopathology, video otoscopy, CT-Scan, myringotomy, and deep ear canal cleaning to name a few.

Our board-certified veterinary dermatologist collaborates with clients and primary care veterinarians to develop a treatment plan that is individualized for each pet. The dermatology department also works closely with all in- hospital specialists to provide complete and comprehensive medical care for our patients.

The Dermatology service is not currently accepting new referrals.
