Oncology Services
The Tufts VETS Oncology service is dedicated to enhancing and extending the quality of life for our veterinary cancer patients. We offer specialized knowledge in the diagnosis and staging of cancers, development of treatment plans, and administration of chemotherapy. A veterinary oncologist can help your pet by developing treatment plans that incorporate surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy and/or immunotherapy. All cancer treatment plans are customized to meet the needs and goals of the individual patient and family.
Diagnostic and treatment options available includes:
- Chemotherapy
- Immunotherapy (including Oncept melanoma vaccine)
- Advanced Imaging (digital radiography, CT, ultrasound)
- Aspirates and Cytology
- Bone Marrow Evaluation
- Biopsy
- Tumor Staging
- Pain Management and Other Palliative Care
- Coordination for Oncologic Surgery
- Referral and Coordination for Radiation Therapy
Our oncologist, Dr. Coffee, works closely with experienced and compassionate veterinary technicians, Jenny, Jen, and Shelby, as well as other in-hospital specialists to provide comprehensive cancer therapy for each and every patient. We are dedicated to working closely with you and your pet’s primary veterinarian to provide the best possible care.
