People are always looking for red flags Let's start looking for those green flags and people who root for us. You're so right Shelley, we need to surround ourselves more with people who are willing to allow us the space to grow and prosper. The more we enjoy the company the better we are able to support those around us as well.
Well here is my new goal is to be a green flag to as many people as I can !!
Green flags are my new fave 💚
What if my parents don’t do any of these?
Highly appreciated that you shared this, since there arw gazilion lists of red flags. That makes us miss the green flags, since focus matters.
Thank you for this Shelley! Reposting for exposure. 🙌
Brilliant! In these relationships, there's a positive energy exchange, not a one-way energy drain. I would add, they both listen and amplify your strengths.
I have six people around whom I don't have to watch what I say. Spending time with them is a balm for my soul. 🥰 ⛱️

2moI love this! Green Flags enable connection, openness, psychological safety, successful collaboration, and so much more. People who don't check all these marks can also be incredible people....they may have not grown up in an emotionally safe environment, have low self esteem, have an attachment disorder, etc. They may not see their own limitations or understand how their energy and interactions affect others (or even themselves). Those who never learned self-compassion as children may lack green flags (there can be various causes of this). Some red flags are actively harmful and should be avoided at all costs (violence, narcissism, etc.). But when we're with those who struggle with connection, can we be the encouragement and kindness they need to better see themselves, their emotions, their energy and their interactions? When we help others develop green flags within themselves, we improve our businesses, friendships and communities. 💚
