Discover your safe haven and burst with growth

Everyone learns differently. Because every individual has a unique personality, personal joy and growth are found in various areas.

What is your safe haven? This can be a certain place you love or an activity you spend a lot of time doing.

Whatever your safe haven is, it is a place where you feel at rest. It is a time when you know your body and mind can recharge and be at ease.

What do you enjoy doing when you are alone?

For me, one activity that brings joy is photography (specifically nature photography). When I take pictures, my body and mind feel truly relaxed. It brings me satisfaction to be able to capture various moments around me.

To take a step further, wandering around in the woods with a camera gives me the freedom to think quietly on a deeper level.  It is a great opportunity to discover what it is that God intends for me to do next.

The biggest step once you discover your area of safety is to practice personal growth. I believe the greatest way to do this is through prayer.

Isaiah 58:11 says, “And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.”

This is such a great reminder that the Lord will always be there to guide you. For Christians, the hope is alive! He will provide for us all that we need, including personal growth.

Whether you love to journal, read books, take pictures, play music or fill in the blank, remember that the Lord will ultimately be the One to give you pure satisfaction. He uses our passions and gifts in order that we might draw closer to Him; therefore, you can rest assured that you can always find a safe haven in Him.

What area(s) do you consider to be a safe haven to you?
