Amazon Associates 101: Everything You Need to Know to Start Earning

1. Set up your account in Associates Central.
Associates Central is your go-to for payday and every day. It has resources for reporting, payments, account information, and more. Be sure to enter your tax and contact details. This is how you’ll get paid, get informed, and get the most of your Amazon experience.
2. Get to know our Operating Agreement.
Read our OA to understand disclosures, Amazon trademarks, commission eligibility, and more.
3. Keep your website information updated.
Go to the "Edit Your Website Information" section in Associates Central to update the list of sites used to drive traffic to Amazon, including new social accounts. Make sure that your site is public and not password protected.
4. Find promo codes and deals for your audience.
See the latest deals by visiting the "Promotions" tab on Associates Central. Check the "Amazon Promo Codes" tab daily for current and upcoming codes, and to create affiliate links for each code.

You must remove any links and related references to limited-time promotions from your site and/or social as soon as that promotion ends.
5. Start sharing with your audience.
Once you’ve started rounding up your favorite Amazon finds, share affiliate links with your audience to make a commission on their eligible purchases.

6. Get familiar with reporting tools.
Track your earnings and see key performance indicators like product clicks, ordered items, and more on your Reports page.

Commission income is paid approximately 60 days after the end of the month for which you're being paid.
