Justine Firnhaber-Baker is professor of history at the University of St. Andrews. A former fellow of All Souls College, Oxford, and a graduate of Harvard University, she is the author of two previous books on the history of medieval France. She lives in Scotland.

Justine Firnhaber-Baker is Professor of History at the University of St. Andrews and former fellow of All Souls College, Oxford. A graduate of Harvard University and Wellesley College, she is the author of House of Lilies: The dynasty that made medieval France; The Jacquerie of 1358: A French peasants' revolt; and Violence in the State in Languedoc, ca. 1250-1400. She lives in Scotland.
