STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — The 22-year-old man being sought in connection with the death of a young woman near Steamboat Springs is a distant cousin of the woman’s fiance.

The Routt County Sheriff’s Office named Cole J. Pollard as a person of interest Tuesday in the investigation into the death of 22-year-old Patricia Richmond. The Steamboat Today (http://bit.ly/1RRaJoH ) newspaper reports that investigators believe that Pollard has been staying with his grandparents in the area.

Richmond’s body was found tied up and face down Monday evening in the home of her fiance’s parents, Amy and Russell West, east of the unincorporated town of Clark. That’s about 20 miles north of Steamboat Springs.

Sheriff Garrett Wiggins has said the death is a homicide but no details have been released about how Richmond died.
