Product Description

These economically friendly, super value packs of 8 x 10 inch canvas are great for lighter paint applications, quick studies, practice and classroom or high volume use. The unbleached 4 oz. cotton is primed with acid-free acrylic titanium gesso to a finished weight of 8 oz. and stretched around and back-stapled to 5/8" deep, kiln-dried fir stretcher bars. Suitable for use with all acrylic paints, oil paints and other wet or dry media. The number of canvases per pack varies by size. Use these with kids, for adult painting classes, for your professional needs and for all other art, collage, décor, and home and craft projects. Great for kids and adults alike. We used these canvases for a birthday party for our daughter. They were such a hit! Each kid received a canvas to paint with washable finger paint, and the paint stuck well to the canvas. This was the best value I could find on the internet for bulk, decent-sized canvases.

I will definitely purchase these again if we want the kids to do art projects. I can't speak to whether the canvas could be used for more professional art purposes, but it definitely works for kids art!

Bought 7x packs of 10 of these for a company sponsored "paint and sip" event at work. These are really great quality - every one of them was solid and in great shape. I've seen some canvas packs that have a few warped wooden backings, but not these! For our event, these were the perfect size and could not have been any better.

If we ever do the event again, these are the canvas' I will be buying!

I have now ordered this pack three times over in the past few months and about ready to order another. I have only had an issue with one canvas where there was a tiny hole in the middle, but it was still usable. These are higher quality than other "economy" canvases I have seen. The staples are on the back rather than the sides, so your work is ready to hang as soon as you finish. Overall, a great product for the price, especially if you go through canvases quickly.

These are fine little canvases for the price. They aren’t high end, but they can easily be made much better. The canvas is a little loose, but if you spray the back with plain water, just enough to wet the canvas, not soak it, and make sure to squirt into the corners too, that will make them tight as a drum. I used a regular plant spray bottle put on a fine mist. It happens quickly too. In a few minutes. It’s a great trick I learned. If you flick the canvas and it still isn’t tight, spray it again. (Make sure you get into the corners or they may look puckery. No worries if they do, just spray into those corners from the back. You’ll need to tilt the canvas a bit.

Also, add a couple of coats of gesso. That will make them much smoother. A little sanding helps too, but be gentle. These aren’t very thick canvases and you can rub them raw on the edges pretty easily. I use 150 grit aluminum oxide paper and then brush off the canvas carefully with a soft brush. Don’t use your hands to brush them off or you can get oils on the canvas from your hands. (This step isn’t absolutely needed, but it does make the canvas smoother).
