Black sesame seeds add an exotic touch to any dish in which white sesame seeds would be appropriate. (I tend to use a mixture of both.) I was delighted to run across these at Amazon. I ordered several bottles and have already used up one jar. The seeds are good quality.
The secret to using black sesame seeds is to add just enough and not too much. Most dishes that include sesame seeds are enhanced by adding a small amount of black sesame seeds -- in addition to the white ones. The flavor difference is subtle, yet enticing.
