my friend gave me a le creuset dutch oven for x-mas that a friend had given him. it was blue and he is adamant about white. we joked that i would give him something similar but because of funds i would gift him the mini cocotte. i decided to splurge for his birthday this month and started looking in may and found one for an incredible price. i bought it immediately. came in perfect shape, absolutely beautiful and i found casserole recipes that i copied and hand painted and filled the dish with before wrapping. the quality of the dish was wonderful and i am thrilled for when he opens it and can start using this instead of his clear glass, perfectly adequate but far from fabulous, casserole dishes.

Whether in oven or stovetop, every LeCruset item I own does what it says it does, and helps me to create great dishes ! They are easy to clean, sturdy and durable, and if you take care of them they will last a lifetime. For me, it makes sense to “invest “ in good tools and equipment instead of just buying the least expensive. If you see any Le Cruset on sale, try to save up your pennies and buy what you can afford……. Even if it’s just one small pot at a time. Your time and patience will be well rewarded and you just might learn how to cook!
