A set of 2 pastry brushes for all your cooking and baking needs

Ideal for glazing, basting, spreading sauces, icing pastries or cakes, making candy and greasing pans with oil or melted butter, the Redecker Pastry Brushes with Untreated Beechwood Handles is a highly-versatile kitchen tool set. Soft and flexible natural boar bristles properly absorb liquids for easy application and promote smooth and effortless spreading. Great for applying egg washes, sugar glazes and flavorful spice mixes to fish, meat, pastries, cakes and other baked goods. Easy-to-grip handle made from beautiful handcrafted beechwood with a steel joint between the handle and bristle for durability and lasting quality. The wood is untreated and color will vary somewhat from product image due to natural variations in the wood. Comes with two pastry brushes ideal for a wide range of cooking and baking tasks.

Includes two (2) pastry brushes sized 3/4” x 7-1/2” and 1-1/2” x 8-1/4“. To clean, handwash then gently dry with a cotton towel. Not safe for dishwasher.

Extremely cheaply made, these brushes are very thin and flimsy. What looks like regular pastry brushes in the photos are actually only about an eighth of an inch thick, with not much in the way of bristles. I will not be surprised if they disintegrate at the first use: they're held together with two meager staples. Definitely not worth buying.

I've owned these pastry brushes for about two years, and use them about once a week. Amazingly enough, only about 3 bristle hairs have fallen out the whole time.
These brushes apply butter to pans and egg wash on baked goods very smoothly and evenly--much better than any silicone brush. Definitely a must-have for any baker!
I've been careful to keep the brushes out of standing water, so the metal band hasn't rusted at all. They're easy to clean with a squirt of dish soap and hot water. Air-drying them works well. Overall, an excellent product that I recommend and would definitely buy again!!

I’m a serious baker and having the proper tool is essential. I’m always concerned that egg washing breads and rolls may deflate the dough. The bristles on these brushes are soft, gentle and very pliable. I’ve used them several times now. The rolls and breads have turned out with beautiful rise and finish. So far I've used these brushes for buttering a hot waffle iron and basting meat on the grill. I like them so much better than the silicone and synthetic bristle brushes. They hold a good amount of liquid and spread very evenly. Also I don't have to worry about the bristles melting. For washing, I just swished them vigorously in hot soapy water, smoothed them down a bit, and laid them flat on a towel to dry. I've only seen one loose bristle, and that was right out of the box. None since then. I'm very pleased.
