The lavender adds a fragrant aroma to your favorite recipes, including baked goods (like the shortbread cookies below!). If this is your first time cooking with lavender, remember that a little goes a long way!

Can I use the Lavender Flowers as a tea? The lavender adds a fragrant aroma to teas and your other favorite recipes. Many customers like to steep the lavender with earl grey or mint tea.

Can I add the Lavender Flowers to beauty products? Yes! Many of our customers like to mix the lavender into creations like use in bath soak infusions to make lotions and creams.

Where do the Lavender Flowers come from? France. Our 100% raw, certified organic Lavender Flowers are imported to the USA directly from the fields of southern France.

Do you add anything to the Lavender Flowers? No! Our organic Lavender Flowers are 100% raw with no additives.

I have an allergy, can I consume your products? In addition to Milk, Egg, Soy and Wheat Allergens that are produced at our facility, we also handle products that contain both Tree Nuts and Peanuts. FGO purchases ingredients from suppliers who follow good manufacturing practices which includes allergen management control. FGO follows the Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act requirements for labeling of all our products. Given that our products are produced in facilities that contain common allergens, our recommendation would be to avoid our products if you have a common allergy, out of an abundance of caution.

Is the bag resealable? Yes! Our Lavender Flowers come packaged in the highest quality kraft bags.

Instructions

Add a small amount of the oil to your lavender buds and mix. Add your potpourri to any container you choose. Set our for a lovely scent and simply stir to reactivate the fragrance. Enjoy and feel good!

Lavender Sachets

Materials: About 1 tbs dried lavender buds; Two 3×3-inch pieces of fabric; Scissors; Sewing thread and needle

Instructions

Cut two identically-shaped hearts from fabric pieces. Align the fabric hearts on top of one another and use a running stitch to sew them together. Before finishing the stitch, fill heart with lavender buds and sew it closed. Attach a loop of thread for easy hanging. Enjoy and feel good!

Lavender Shortbread Cookies

Ingredients: 1 cup softened butter; 1/4 cup granulated sugar; 1/4 cup powdered sugar; 1/4 tsp salt; 2 cups different flours (1 cup all-purpose and 1 cup cake flour); 1 tbs chopped fresh lavender

Instructions

In a stand mixer, cream the butter, granulated sugar, powdered sugar, and salt until thoroughly combined, (~3 min). In another bowl, sift together the all-purpose and cake flours. Slowly mix the flour mixture into the butter mixture until just combined. Mix in chopped lavender. Roll the dough to a 1/2-inch-thick. Wrap rolled dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for ~4 hours. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Cut dough into desired shapes and place on parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake cookies until golden at the edges, (~20 mins). Remove from the oven and sprinkle with granulated sugar while still warm. Let cool completely. Enjoy and feel good!

I've been buying dried lavender for tea for years from a local health food store. The price was about 2x more than this product. That stuff was also from China so I decided to get this since it was cheaper and from France.

The bag is HUGE! Like the size of a small bed pillow. The smell is fantastic, the leaves are more grey than bright blue like the stuff I have from China (not sure if this has to do with the type, or the drying process). However, I can tell this is quality stuff.

One thing I do notice is there is a different taste for tea. There is a strange, earthy undertone to this lavender that I never had with my local stuff. I did some research and apparently French Lavender has a slight camphor smell/flavour that isn't present in English lavender, so that may be what I'm getting. It's not overpowering though, I will most likely get used to it. On the plus side it's never bitter, unlike the Chinese lavender I usually buy which needs some sweetener for tea.

I recommend this! SO much lavender for a good price and the expiry is 2 years away (though I will probably use it all with the year).
