I like to use these in baking, as they really hold their shape perfectly. They also make a really nice topping for a muffin, or other dessert, too. I've even used these for some homemade granola and they did not disappoint. And Bob's Red Mill makes wonderful products, so this is just what I expected! Highly recommended!

The are really good. They are the "thick" oats and not mushy. Our favorite and easiest way to prepare these on busy mornings is to add water and oats to big pot. Bring to boil and make sure they boil for maybe a minute. Then I take them off the heat and put the lid on for 5 minutes (while we are getting ready). If necessary, I'll return to heat for maybe 1 minute while stiring. This method of preparation creates a great texture that is not gloppy nor gummy. The whole family loves it!.

Tasty, thick and perfect for toppings, cereals in the morning, granola and more. I mostly use this in with sliced almonds and some hone to make a topping for our breakfast apple/blueberry crisps. But I have also used it in my muffin mix, my granola mix and I mix a bit in with the dog's food if she's getting backed up at all. (old dog is old)

Bob's Red Mill is consistently has excellent products and I've never had to complain about a single one.

Since I am gluten intolerant, I have to spend the extra $ for g/f, and buying the 4 pack makes the price per lb the lowest I have found anywhere. I love these GF oats; we use them for everything from regular baked oatmeal to granola bars. Because they are the THICK oats, however, they can be a little chewy and require a little more liquid. Also, you can pulse these in the food processor for a few seconds to cut them a little finer if you need them to be not quite so thick. I know that seems silly, because you could just buy the thinner, "quick cooking" oats instead, but those are more processed and have less of the fiber and "good stuff" that the thick, rolled oats have, even if you cut them down a bit in your food processor. I had to look up an article on the differences in all the different varieties of oats to understand it. :)
The only reason I didn't give these 5 stars is simply because the price of GF oats has jumped significantly in recent months. As if they weren't pricey enough already. :(
