I ordered from the same place as last year by clicking buy again, last year the chocolate was dark and shiny, this year it didn't look good at all, but we thought we would try it and hopefully it would clear up, it didn't. Last year it came in a clear plastic see though bag, this year it came in a white Ziploc to hide it's contents.Complete crap.

The chocolate comes in a sealed back where you tear the top and then can reseal with the built in zipper.

Freshness - Best by September 2023

It's dark chocolate but sweeter than some varieties as sugar is the first ingredient. Great for dipping fruit and other things in but a bit sweet to snack on out of the bag.

I melted 3 ounce in the microware on melt and mixed a few times during the process. As you can see in the picture it turned smooth and shinny. I dipped in some fresh cut pineapple. In a few minutes the chocolate hardened on the pineapple. I should have put them on waxed paper as they did stick to the plate. But they were great. Paired perfect with the pineapple.

This would be great for dipping just about anything or in a chocolate fountain.

After opening the bag, the chocolate turned a bit ashy. I am not an experienced chocolatier so I am unsure whether that's a natural occurrence or not. It tastes great, however, and is not bitter like most dark chocolate I have had. It's sweeter than milk chocolate but has a deeper, richer flavor. At this point, I have only used it as part of an elevated trail mix. I'm sure it'll melt splendidly once I melt it for my next project. I'll edit/update my review at that time.

This Cambie Dark Coating Chocolate is wonderful! It is delicious and a bit addictive in a good way. It's not bitter dark chocolate, but rather yummy for dipping anything that you would like to coat in the melted disks, like marshmallows, pretzels, cookies, cones for ice cream...whatever!

It's easy to melt in a dish in the microwave and the dipping choices are endless. If you can wait a few minutes for it to set and harden, it will, but I ate most of it right after dipping my food items in the melted chocolate. I would place the dipped food on parchment paper or foil to make it easier to remove and eat them. You can also melt this into molds or just eat it straight. This is an excellent product!! Very highly recommend!!

5 pounds of chocolate, what else is there to say? Great for the holidays and making fun treats. I make chocolate covered strawberries and all of my guests were raving about how delicious the chocolate was. Great quality product with a great flavor that will last for plenty of more parties to come.
