I have a rare genetic disorder that causes severe joint damage and as a result, I have limited strength in my hands. I have tried those ice cream scoops that are supposed to plop the ice cream out when you push a button. They didn't really work correctly and they were too difficult to clean. I didn't have high hopes, but this one actually works. The ergonomic handle is easy to hold and feels good in my hand. The shape is very unique. Instead of a round scoop, this is oblong with a curve. It allows it to roll the ice cream up instead of needing a lot of strength to dig it out. You can also run it under warm water to make it easier to scoop, but I didn't find it necessary.
