Hello, I have been looking for alternatives to sugar. I did a lot of research and many people were suggesting dates. I have had dates in the past and I love dates flavor but cannot get past the skin texture. I came across this product through shopping online for my whole foods order after checking the ingredients list I was very excited it had only 1 ingredient Medjool dates and they were located in California I have high trust in California food regulations. I was hesitant because the price was very high over $8 for just 8.8 OZ. I eventually to decided to give it a try and it was a lot smaller than I imagined the taste is amazing I absolutely LOVED the taste. It comes in a squeeze bottle and let me tell you it does not come out or will not come out that way because it's a dense paste not in liquid form so to get anything you have to uncap and put immense pressure squeezing to get anything. Now I recommend that if you get this product uncap and squeeze that way because it leaves a residue on the top of the cap that can attract critters. So overall, I have mixed feelings about it I love the taste and ingredients but for the price, the small amount is a barrier. If you are someone for whom cost is not an issue I would 100% recommend this.

I use this to make my own ice cream pops with flax milk and to make chia seed pudding. Only complaint I have is that it is difficult to get the product out of the bottle. It won’t squeeze out easily and I have to scrape it out. Should be in a jar instead of a squeeze bottle.

I started buying this date syrup when I decided to stop buying flavored creamer due to all of the additives, especially carrageenan. I add a tablespoon to the carafe along with some pure vanilla and sometimes maple syrup. Brew coffee as usual. Makes it sweet, but not too sweet, then I can just add milk or half&half (or even splurge with heavy cream!) to taste. Yes, the dairy adds a few calories, but it doesn't have all the additives, and I don't use much. Anyway, this date syrup pours easily and adds just the right amount of sweetness to my coffee. I don't often bake, but I imagine it would also be good in baked goods. I usually buy the 2-bottle option on Subscribe&Save, however it wasn't available this month, so I'll just order it a little sooner with only 1 bottle. It lasts a really long time though only using a tbsp. at a time several times a week.
