I loved this stuff! So pretty with the hint of sparkle! It worked really well also - hardly any air bubbles and only the occasional stutter in flow which was really easy to fix, and sooooo easy to use for someone who is NOT a professional cake decorator like me! As for the taste... it tastes just like every other frosting product out there and I couldn't tell any difference when eating it along with a store-bought sheet cake. it tastes just like regular frosting if you ask me. I don't know what people expect from a packaged product, but I thought it tasted fine. Not great, of course! It's in a tube! I mean, really? It's plenty good enough for casual parties and kids and family and if you like frosting (like my husband does) he thought it was really sweet and really good and complimented the cake flavors really well.
