Got tye first one about months ago. It gets used daily. Not a hint of rust anywhere, very fine mesh, the front hooks are really great, much better than a second handle. It's a commercial grade kitch devise. I use it to spout beans and grains. So it's wet most of the time. It was worth the price for me.

This strainer is very sturdy and has made bone broth making so much easier. The strainer sits over the pan and is large enough to accommodate the bones and skin that are in the broth. No more asking for a second person to hold things while I pour out the broth. The metal support under the strainer makes it easier to wash, and so far there is no food getting under the lip on the brim. My only objection was how it was sent to me. Amazon shipped it in a plastic bag, and it had a few dents, but I was able to straighten them out.

When I strain food I tend to shake the strainer to get moisture out. Seems like a no brainer to me. But this also causes the handle to break off cheaper strainers. I do not believe that will happen with this strainer. I’m very pleased with its construction, size, and the strength of the wire strainer material.

So I started making my own enchilada sauce a few years back using all sorts of different dried chiles. Still experimenting. I recently learned that after you blend the rehydrated chiles and other ingredients it is very important to strain the sauce. I have read about this step many times but ignorantly ignored this process. So I decided to try it out using an old 5 inch strainer we had laying around. Omg the amount of debris this strainer picked up completely blew me away. (Don't skip this step!) The problem tho was that it was way to small and took a long time to strain. I ordered this baby the next day and it showed up at my door the day after. I absolutely love this strainer. The reviews are true, this is the last strainer you will ever need. Okay, so I was hesitant about spending this much money on a strainer. But I was tired of buying cheap strainers that rusted, fell apart, the holes let rice, etc., escape, and the last straw was when my old, rusted strainer that had wires poking through ran one of those stray wires under my fingernail. So compared with that pain, the price for this strainer was nothing. This strainer is absolutely brilliant, and really is money well spent. It is a seriously quality piece of kitchen kit. No more stray wires, no rust, no rice escaping (seriously you could probably filter coffee grounds through this, the mesh is that good), no problems whatsoever. The handle is so sturdy that it actually acts as a kind of counterweight for the basket, so when it's on a pot, it's not going anywhere. It balances pretty well in the sink, too, which is surprising, as it doesn't have feet. I think it's due to the supporting parts in the basket, which work really well. I don't have a dishwasher, so I can't say how it would hold up in that. But for hand washing it holds up perfectly. This strainer is probably far too posh for my little kitchen, but I love it and look forward to many happy years together.

Todos los coladores que he usado acaban rompiéndose por la soldadura del asa con el aro, donde se hace toda la fuerza de palanca cuando aplicas fuerza sobre el colador.
En este, al pasar la pieza del mango por debajo la malla soportando todo el peso, el conjunto es mucho mas robusto y tiene pinta de que no va romperse en mucho tiempo .
Al principio asusta un poco porque es un poco mas grande que los coladores habituales, pero te acostumbras enseguida.
