I will admit that these liners make cleaning my air fryer baskets easier, however cleaning the liners is a little time consuming. Really good at containing small particles if seasoning fries. The red mat also enables my fryer to put larger item in the main basket, like a rack of ribs or a roast. I purchased my first set 2+ years ago. They're still holding up very well. This is my 2nd set for another air fryer.

Sturdy and reliable, but tough to clean

As the title states, it is very sturdy and it seems to have great durability as I've used it for over half a year now and haven't had any issues with the material.

However, even with cleaning after each use. It never seems to come fully clean. The picture attached shows pockets that still either look greasy or have a burnt on residue. I've tried everything from letting it sit with regular Dawn detergent, using the dawn Power Scrub that you spray and leave for a little bit, and running it through the dishwasher, and nothing seems to work. The closest I've come, is by boiling a pot of water and dumping it on it in the sink and that did a fairly good job of removing the stains as you can see from the cleaner areas of the mat.

I get that no two cooking accessories are alike and they're bound to get dirty, but this one definitely has a hard time coming clean. The other two mats seem to be holding up, although they get limited use compared to this one.

As other people have said, the thick red silicone mat does not the Ninja XL exactly. It does, however, do the job, so I always use it. Problem number 2: Cleaning it. I now know, you must take the mat while it's still hot and put it under running cold water. That makes the black particles rinse right off. If you wait, you are stuck with a nearly impossible job; I learned this the hard way. Frankly, nothing keeps my Ninja Foodi XL FG551 really clean or even very easy to clean, and I have tried everything. But, it's such a good appliance for cooking and grilling and air frying that I use it every day and put up with the problem.
