I am so in love with Chungah's recipes. I discovered her on Pinterest and then started following her blog. I have made numerous recipes and loved just about all of them. So, when I discovered she was actually releasing a cookbook I was super excited and of course I preordered her book. Let me tell you how excited I was on the day that it was to be delivered. I was sitting at my desk and I received an alert saying your package has been delivered. I kept telling myself just wait until you get home it will be there when you get there. But I could not wait I took my lunch break and drove 20 minutes to the house just so I could "read" my new book. ;) I went back to the office and I was so distracted that I ended up meal planning and making a new grocery list just to start experimenting with the recipes. There are so many amazing recipes that I want to try. None of them are super complicated and the recipes will not break the bank. One thing I love about her ingredients is that a lot of them can be used in numerous recipes. You will not regret purchasing this cookbook. You know how you buy a cook book and it just sits on the shelf? Well this is not one of them. Trust me! This is the type of cook book that will end up looking like you have passed it around a million times. I am so grateful for Chunugah and her willingness to share her recipes with us. Make sure you check out her blog for many free recipes as well. Her recipes make you want to get in the kitchen. They have saved me from eating out plenty of times. Her recipes put takeout to shame. It is healthier and tastes even better. Her recipes live up to the name DAMN DELICIOUS!!!

I tend to buy too many cookbooks. I enjoy reading them and looking at them as much as I enjoy making the recipes. This cookbook is one that I actually use and take inspiration from.

I like that none of the recipes are too complicated. There are very few ingredients that are not at the store closest to our house. There is a big variety of recipes to try. The directions are clear and the pictures are beautiful

There are a couple of recipes that I consider overly basic - the types of things that I might make without a recipe. But I have been cooking for a long time and tend to experiment, so others may not feel that way.

Overall, I think this is a great addition to my cookbook collection and definitely one that my busy family uses and enjoys.

I've been getting recipes from the Damn Delicious website for a while. My hubby & I are pretty pickier eaters but she has some really good recipes that work well for us. I didn't find as many recipes in this book that I like as I do on her website but I found a few. The book has several seafood based recipes and we don't eat seafood. If you like seafood, I think the recipes are probably pretty good. She keeps her recipes easy & simple which is something I love. I would recommend this book to people. I also liked that there are a couple pictures of her dog Butters in the book too. If you are not following her on Instagram, you really should. She's really funny & her dog is awesome!!

I was extremely excited to get the book based on the recipes that I had tried with the website. Well, I was not let down. The book is easy to follow and the pages lay down when the book is opened. I was worried about not having a hardcover but again they lay very well when following recipes. The recipes themselves are amazing and my children are even asking for them to be remade! The hubby even liked looking through the book. Great buy and I would highly suggest it for those wanting great tasting, simple to make recipes.

Let me start by saying: Overall, this is a great book. Really interesting recipes, and I've had great luck with some of the breakfast and dinner meals I've tried so far. I also love the notes - there are suggestions/substitutions for when you want a healthier meal and recommendations on how to freeze/package what you've cooked, so that's awesome. The food is great and there's a lot of variety, so there's something for everyone!

With that said, the prep time is almost always longer than the book says (maybe not for chefs/those experienced in the kitchen, but when you're a 20-something in your first solo apartment, expect to spend some more time). I also wouldn't necessarily call these "Super" easy - it's simple enough to follow the recipes, but there are often many ingredients and they have you doing multiple things at once (think: "While you're frying the chicken, mix the wet ingredients in one bowl and the dry ingredients in another").

All in all, I'd give the book itself 4 stars - all things considered, it's good. I gave it 3 because my book was printed upside-down. When I opened up the front cover, it was the last page of the book, inverted. Not really a hindrance, but definitely a little annoyed.

I discovered her blog first, and actually one of my MOST favorite recipes of hers was not in the book. But try her Crispy Sesame Beef from the blog and you won't be disappointed! I have made many of the recipes from the book, and found them to be easy to make, the ingredients easy to find, and really really GOOD. The Chicken Lettuce Wraps were delicious, and so was the Slow Cooker Korean Beef. The pictures are beautiful, and her dog Butters is particularly adorable. Just a fun read with some recipes that are bound to be repeats in your house. Nothing too complicated, just good to eat and fun to make!
