I thought cranberry powder would be sour like the real fruit

I'm feeding this to my dogs because one of my dogs pees on her bed in her sleep sometimes, and she suffers from constant urinary infection. Since I started feeding her this powder, she goes to the bathroom more often and hasn't had infection or peed on her bed. It also helps with my dogs' teeth and breath. I thought cranberry powder would be sour like the real fruit, but it has more floury taste than sour taste and my dogs don't mind eating it.

I bought this mainly to sprinkle on my dogs food for urinary issues and to add to my diet since I seem to be getting UTI's. It seems to help a lot with the dogs, BUT... that's pretty much the limit for what I can do with it. It does not mix into smoothies well. It just clumps up and won't break up very well. When drinking a smoothie, you will suddenly get a mouth full of stuck powder - that tastes kind of weird. It's not as tart as expected, but it isn't sweet either. Just not pleasant at all.

I tried at first to mix it into the dogs wet food, but as soon as it touches the wet food, it is almost encapsulated and will not mix in well. My dogs don't seem to care. They are raw fed and this has not slowed them down at all.

Works well for the dogs, but tough to use for humans. I won't buy again.

I'm sure this is healthy for me, but once you mix this powder with water, it's extremely hard to get the lumps out. I finally bought a hand blender (specifically for this), so I wouldn't have to spend several minutes trying to get the powder to blend. Tastes as one would expect.
