Product Description
Dressmaker Shears offer a longer cut ideal for cutting patterns, trimming seams or cutting long swaths of fabric, and a gold-plated handle adds an unmistakable touch of sophistication. These versatile shears feature long, precision-ground, knife-edge blades that cut multiple layers of fabric easily, all the way to the tip. A double-plated chrome-over-nickel blade finish is both striking and durable, and the bent-handle design helps hold fabric flat on a tabletop or counter for smooth, comfortable, mistake-free cutting. Dressmaker Shears also include a nylon sheath to protect the blades when not in use.

I would buy these again, and actually I have: I bought a pair for the person who taught me how to sew and it made a terrific gift. I can't say enough good things about these scissors. They cut through fabric, leather, batting and every other sewing material I have encountered so far.
Only CON..... I'm a fairly large male. 6"4 247lbs retired bodybuilder. I don't necessarily have the thinnest or smallest hands lol. I normally like to cut with three fingers on the downside of the shear with my thumb up top. I have to use two fingers on downside with thumb up top to cut. However, this form is growing on me and I may prefer the 2-1 finger formation better than the 3-1 formation lol ;-)
