I really liked this whisker when we first got it and have used it to whisk my morning eggs and the odd cake batter or fry batter and never machined wash , only water rinse cleaning always.Today was beating a Dunkin Hines cake batter and as whisking it came apart in my hands. A close look and you can see the handle is attached using a plastic rod type thing which over time degrades and breaks apart.We didnt buy this yesterday or even in past year or two but one expects a quality product to stand up to normal use and not break apart

We own several heavy duty whisks but not a thinner, lighter one since our last one rusted apart. I wanted a good quality one that would not be as likely to fall apart as the last one. I took a chance with this one and couldn't be more pleased. It is light but sturdy with a comfortable to grip handle. I wasn't even looking for a handle like this but I'm glad to have it! The size and weight are perfect for a standard size whisk. I look forward to lots of baking with this one!
