Bitter taste and damaged upon arrival
I did some research to find the best olive oil to take daily and found California Olive Ranch might be a good choice, so I ordered it on Amazon. When the two bottles arrived, both bottle caps looked like they had been dropped. I was afraid to open them because the bottles are made of glass, so I tried to do a return and Amazon said they were not eligible for return. I mistakenly saw "Amazon's Choice" next two the item and thought it was Prime, but that is not the case.Amazon would not let me return them, so I figured that I'd try to open them. I was surprised that neither bottle was broken, so I gave it a taste. Awful bitter taste! I have never had olive oil taste like that, bitter and it almost felt like it burned my throat. Definitely would not order again. A waste of $24.00. Disappointed because of all the hype around this product, which did not live up.

We started using this product a few years back after we saw a 60 minutes expose on how Olive Oil was being watered down in Italy. It then spread like wild fire in the news. This was one company that was mentioned that was NOT watering down their Olive Oil and was pure. It is also American made in California.
Beyond that it is a great product and equal or better than higher priced " pure Olive Oil" in other places.
Try it you will like it!
PS--We order regularly and in the last shipment a bottle was broken. They got back to me in 5 seconds and sent a new one. Good to know-in an online ordering world. And we have bought of course in stores as well.

Being told tha6 Olive Oil was the best oil to use, I tried to use the brands in the local grocery store. I could fry foods or use in baking, and they were okay but in salad dressing and on salads it was terrible. California Olive Ranch tastes good any way I use it.
