Beautiful, living, long lasting, Phalaenopsis Orchid in a decorative ceramic pot. This orchid is supplied by Color Orchids, a wholesale indoor plants company located in Culpeper, Virginia. The Color Orchid's family owned farm has 5 acres of greenhouses dedicated to growing orchids & other indoor plants. Our 30+ varieties of orchids receive one & half years of care before they leave our farm. As a grower, we respect the plants & the world they come from. In an effort to minimize our footprint, we utilize as many growing practices that are available to use, such as using biologicals for pesticides & collecting rain for all our water use. We focus on creating an experience for our customers & giving consumers value through the longevity of our plants. I tell you what... this was the most beautiful most professionally packaged live plant I have ever received, and I have had a bunch. I recently was sent an orchid from a local florist as a gift. Within a couple of weeks it was totally dead. When I received it, it was cut and damaged, we knew it wasn't going to last. I was heartbroken. We replaced it with this one ordered from Amazon. I couldn't believe the way this one was packaged. It was done in a way that there was no way it was going to get damaged during shipment. However, it was easy for you to unpack, it came with a measuring water cup so you don't overwater, and easy how to care for instructions. It was gorgeous. It has been easy to keep alive due to the instructions and wattering cup. It put the local florist to shame. After receiving this, I will have live plants delivered via Amazon more often. I was truly surprised and impressed.

UPDATE: I have now purchased three of these to be sent as gifts, and the third was as lovely as the others. I've sent these to different places at different times of the year and they've all been lovely; in fact, the recent one was prettier than the orchids sold at our local Whole Foods market, even though they are from the same company. I'm thinking of sending myself one! I've begun to think that, perhaps, the problems outlined in the negative reviews were because of issues with the carrier. This was the second orchid I've purchased from Color Orchids, and sent as a gift to a friend. Like the first one, this one arrived in perfect shape, and quickly. I've also purchased a Color Orchid locally (it turns out the greenhouse is not far from where I live) and have been very pleased. These orchids are stunningly beautiful and care is taken for shipping. The first one I purchased, a white one, actually made it to the recipient in time for Valentines day (though that wasn't the reason I sent it.) You can have no fear ordering these as gifts, or for yourself. The little 'shot glass' watering cup even ensures that the plant won't be overwatered.

The only reason I went 4 stars instead of 5 is that the box was wide opened (I literally can't believe it survived!) And the pot was shattered when received. Otherwise, gorgeous plant.

Do yourself a favor go to Costco. The big nice healthy orchid in the picture is from Costco. If you don’t have a membership, Home Depot plants just as nice. I like nothing about this midget cheap half dead over priced orchid I got from amazon. Two of the buds were dying upon arrival. They were black with a hole in the bud. Then it fell off. Do not buy, it’s a total waste of money. Go to Costco, Home Depot or s nursery and you will be happy. Sorry I didn’t go to the store. Thought shopping online from amazon was going to be nice and easy, things coming to your door. Big mistake. And there return policy sucks. No return. When Home Depot, Costco have a much better selection to chose from with a great return policy if you not happy or if the plant die. Don’t buy. Trust me. You will be happy.

Today, I received my pink orchid from Color Orchids. It was securely wrapped in bubble wrap to prevent breakage of the vase and flower stems. The flowers were covered with a type of hair net that prevented damage of the delicate flowers. They also had a heat pack included which was still warm. I repotted the plant immediately into bark and discovered the roots to be healthy and free of pests. My new plant is sooooooo cute and healthy. Good buy!!!
