About this app

This application is under development, additions are planned as an explanation of the 4:6 method I am interested in your comments or ideas to continue to improve this application.

Prepare a speciality good coffee following the 4:6 method of Tetsu Kasuya, using a Hario V60 dripper, Chemex, Blue Bottle, Origami or any other filter dripper.

The 4:6 method is a recipe of Tetsu Kasuya who won the 2016 World Brewer's Cup in Dublin, Ireland.

The method consists of dividing the volume of water into two parts, one of 40% and the second of 60%. The first part is poured in two times, this step will determine the balance between the acidity and sweetness of your cup. For the remaining 60%, the number of pours will determine the strength of the coffee.

The application generates for you a recipe according to your desires, define the coffee you want, the strength, the quantity, follow the recipe and enjoy.

Great app! Loved the clarity of the given instructions are. I do have some suggestions: the subtext color when using light mode is not contrasting enough, and a feature like recipe templates would be a nice addition. Cheers!

I'm not yet convinced that the Ketsu method produces better coffee, especially considering how time consuming it is. I'm especially not convinced that minor adjustments to the way you pour, without adjusting the grind size or ratio, will make the coffee sweeter or more acidic. However, I am convinced that this is a really well designed app and I highly recommend it if you want to experiment with this method.

I would give this app a 10 out of 5 if I could. This is an app with a learning curve but well worth diving into the methods found in the app. By far, this app has the best features. The skills in the help a person grow in coffee understanding. What do I love best about the app, giving the best coffee I can make to anyone the visits and my loved ones.
