2004 National Blue Ribbon School  Belle Isle Receives Prestigious Award!
Belle Isle is one of only four Oklahoma schools to receive the Federal "Blue Ribbon" award for outstanding achievement for improved test scores from the U.S. Department of Education. Belle Isle was nominated as a result of students scoring in the top 10 percent of the state on state-mandated tests. Belle Isle improves API to 1440 ! Academic Performance Index (API) is the system used in Oklahoma to hold schools accountable to the federal No Child Left Behind Act. All public schools in Oklahoma receive a score from zero to 1500 based on student test performances in math and reading and attendance levels. Belle Isle received a 1440 API for the 2006-2007 school year, the highest API of all middle schools and junior high schools in the school district. Belle Isle students are truly Second To None!!
