20-year trends show that the use of complementary health approaches by U.S. adults has increased substantially. The percentage of individuals who used at least one of seven approaches (yoga, meditation, massage therapy, chiropractic care, acupuncture, naturopathy, and guided imagery/progressive muscle relaxation) grew from 19.2% in 2002 to 36.7% in 2022.
