Our food supply relies on farmworkers – including hundreds of thousands on H-2A temporary visas. Our new rule: • strengthens protections for temporary farmworkers and others • promotes employer accountability • targets labor abuses that affect vulnerable H-2 workers and other farmworkers The rule will ensure farmworkers in the H-2A program are treated more fairly and have a voice in their workplace. By better upholding labor standards, the rule benefits all farmworkers, promoting employer accountability and ensuring that the H-2A program does not have an adverse effect on the working conditions of workers in the U.S. similarly employed.
