The fence is being built by Tetas, a company of the EPSO-G group. The fence is a pyramid of 5-6 turns of the Concertina-type barbed wire (with sharp, like a blade, edges). The fence sections are installed nearby. On top of them is the spiral barbed wire. The height is 4 meters.

The fence is first being installed near the town of Druskininkai. It is planned that this week construction of the fence will begin in other areas. By the end of the year, all the most important points should be fenced. The first stage of the construction is made of 100 kilometers of the two-element barrier made of Concertina pyramids and the spiral wire fence. It will be completed by April 30, 2022. The entire border will be fenced by September 1 next year.
