The nursing home began COVID-19 vaccinations on December 22nd where 263 residents and 113 staff members received their first dose.

The second round of doses were administered on January 12th. 24 residents and 41 staff members received their first dose at this clinic.

The entire building has been on droplet precaution since the outbreak started which includes full PPE with any residents as well as positive residents immediately being isolated on designated COVID-19 positive floors.

The spokesperson says residents are tested on a schedule established with the Department of Health and employees are tested weekly.

"The CDC released facts about the COVID-19 vaccine, which also address claims that there is a connection between the vaccine and deaths. One of the first questions answered by the agency is, "Can a COVID-19 vaccine make me sick with COVID-19?" The answer is no because, as the CDC explains, none of the vaccines that have been approved or are in development "contain the live virus that causes COVID-19." This means that a COVID-19 vaccine cannot make you sick with COVID-19," the spokesperson wrote in an email to CNYCentral.
