On a sadder note, beautiful rainforests are being destroyed more and more as time continues. People who are environmentally irresponsible and only care about building are cutting down rainforests and erasing their magnificence. Rainforests once covered 14% of the earth’s land surface and now they have been reduced to only 6%. One environmentalist proposes the acronym TREES to encourage us to help save rainforests.

Teach others about the importance of the environment and how they can help save rainforests.

Restore damaged ecosystems by planting trees on land where forests have been cut down.

Encourage people to live in a way that doesn’t hurt the environment.

Establish parks to protect rainforests and wildlife.

Support companies that operate in ways that minimize damage to the environment.
