If you love nature and all of its intricacies, plan your next getaway to a rainforest! Sure, we all dream about what they may be like, but you won’t actually know the beauty of a rainforest until you see it for yourself. Rushing water, the tallest trees you have ever seen, and lots of green. If you want to see some of the most incredible animals, look no further. To name a few – bats, butterflies, snakes, iguanas, toucans, lizards, monkeys, jaguars, chimps, dragonflies, parrots, frogs… where else can you find all of these creatures in one place? On a sadder note, beautiful rainforests are being destroyed more and more as time continues. People who are environmentally irresponsible and only care about building are cutting down rainforests and erasing their magnificence. Rainforests once covered 14% of the earth’s land surface and now they have been reduced to only 6%. One environmentalist proposes the acronym TREES to encourage us to help save rainforests.

Teach others about the importance of the environment and how they can help save rainforests.

Restore damaged ecosystems by planting trees on land where forests have been cut down.

Encourage people to live in a way that doesn’t hurt the environment.

Establish parks to protect rainforests and wildlife.

Support companies that operate in ways that minimize damage to the environment.
