I look around and see a number of happy faces, just getting done with their graduation. Well, without a doubt, this moment is one of the most awaited moments. Not only you have waited for it but also your parents have been keenly standing by your-side to celebrate. So, kudos for making it to this point!

Human beings always look forward to the returns on their investments. Be it the capital, your efforts, perseverance or anything that had some opportunity cost; will be termed as investment. Till now, you have spent the golden years of your life, tons of money and kept your mind and body busy in passing through all the years of schools. Now is the time to make most out of this tremendous effort. 

There will be a small number of graduates who must have planned on a startup and that's really appreciable. While, there will be a number of those looking forward to a job to hone their professional skills. And I personally recommend to have a year of practical work, if you didn't shot for one, before going for your startup. Why do I recommend this? It makes you a complete package, having the knowledge of a graduate and the experience of a professional. This approach, ultimately, saves you bigger risk and efforts than an amateur.

It goes without saying that LinkedIn is the biggest professional networking site on the planet. And having a meaningful, original and complete LinkedIn profile brings you this opportunity to be among the real professionals. A few days back, I got this email from a fresh graduate, introducing himself in a really nice way. Though, I never practiced this while graduating, I felt good about his way of introducing. Refresh Your Resume/CV

When you are applying for a job, this is one of the most crucial tasks to do. Because your resume/CV speaks first to your prospect employer before you do. So, plan well on designing the resume. Further, you can check some online CV makers, that save you much of your effort by providing ready to customize templates. A better approach is to tailor 2-4 resumes/CV keeping your ideal employer companies in view. A more personalized resume/CV generates a more obvious response.

A job portal is where you find the solicited jobs. Most of these portals have fresh releases of the vacancies, offered by different employer companies. That increases the opportunity to get noticed, as the applications are asked on demand. There is no replacement to the in person interactions. So, besides hunting for a job online, you should also keep your ears to the job fair opportunities. Like your CGPA, a strong professional network also adds value to your professional brand on the interview desk. For, the more people you know, better are the chances that you can bring some real benefit for your employer company.
