DOC COVID-19 Masking Policy
Based on the latest CDC Considerations for Wearing Masks, you can expect:
- In low or medium-risk areas, in most settings, DOC employees, contractors, and visitors do not need to wear a face mask in public indoor settings, regardless of vaccination status. In the event local or other recognized requirements exceed Agency or Federal guidance, the more stringent protocols will be observed. Please note, that you may wear a mask in low or medium-risk areas based on your personal comfort levels.
- In high-risk areas, all DOC employees, contractors, and visitors are required to wear a face mask in public indoor settings, regardless of vaccination status.
Please be aware, on a weekly basis, the COVID-19 Internal Task Force assesses risk metrics for the appropriate counties to determine the appropriate COVID-19 safety protocols. Should the risk metrics change for your county, you can expect to receive a communication from your Bureau at the end of each week detailing the appropriate safety protocols for the subsequent week.
For more information, please contact your leadership or visit the CDC COVID-19 Community Level Tool and CDC Considerations for Wearing Masks.
