Going beyond skill development, the virtual Global Leadership Council will gather on how partners can collaborate to develop and scale up successful programmes that connect young people —particularly girls and young women—to livelihood opportunities. 🎙️ Leaders from within the Generation Unlimited network (GenU) will share valuable perspectives on barriers and opportunities for young people from learning to livelihoods. 3, 2, 1 ... 🚀 launching a career as a drone pilot with #SkillsRightNow. Meet Thembisile Mabele, who decided to pursue her aviation passion while in university. Following a training programme at Girls Fly Africa (GFPA) in partnership with UNICEF South Africa, her vision took flight. There, she received training in diverse aspects of robotics and programming. Thembisile went on to work as a drone pilot and maintenance technician in a surveillance company. She also volunteered for the GFPA aviation and space camp, inspiring young women to choose careers aligned with their skills and passion. uni.cf/3VRAVLn
