I have been attending the Arabian Travel Market for many years now but what I saw this week was undoubtedly the biggest and most inspiring edition ever. The buzz in the air was a great reminder that the #travel industry is at its best.   During the conference, I had the pleasure of taking the stage with Mark Frary to discuss the future of air travel. I think there’s a symbiotic relationship between airports and the #aviation infrastructure and the economic growth of a country. In #Dubai, we’re very fortunate because leaders here understand this relationship and proactively invest in future infrastructure with huge foresight.   When you combine this entrepreneurial vision of the city with an #airport that’s growing exponentially and a real one-team approach where everyone is focused on a single goal, what you get is a leading aviation hub on the world stage.   Thanks for a great chat, Mark!

The growth of #Dubai has always been hand in hand with the growth of its #aviation infrastructure and today we see another bold step on that journey. The announcement of phase two of Dubai World Central - Al Maktoum International Airport's (#DWC) AED 128 billion expansion marks the start of a huge investment of resources by our many stakeholders in designing and building a state of the art #airport for our customers. As we navigate through the impact of the highest ever recorded rainstorm in the UAE and the disruption at the worlds busiest international airport, it is important to give a huge and heartfelt thank you to the wider commercial teams including our amazing Food and Retail partners. There were so many examples of those going above and beyond to provide some relief to those that were directly impacted by this unprecedented event. Some worked multiple back-to-back shifts, others hand carried supplies on their unexpected walk to the airport, others worked tirelessly behind the scenes to creatively solve supply and logistics challenges and to ensure safe access for both people and supplies where needed - all during periods of incredible demand. Whilst it will take some time for the wider recovery across the region we are incredibly proud of all of those that came together and delivered their very best. #DXB #DubaiAirports #oneDXB #DACommercial

🌧️ Despite the unprecedented rainfall that swept through the United Arab Emirates 🇦🇪, Dubai Airports stood strong! ☔ We faced the heaviest downpour in 75 years, with some areas receiving over 250 mm of rain in less than 24 hours. But our team at DXB never wavered. We worked tirelessly to ensure our guests felt cared for, providing transportation, food, and support to normalize operations. 🛫 Despite facing anger and frustration, we listened patiently and tried our best to turn every situation around. 🤝 Huge thanks to all management officials, colleagues, airlines, and other partners for their invaluable support and collaboration during this challenging time.
