would recommend checking actual providers training and credentials prior to seeking care, not transparent, and interesting billing practices

My kids' pediatrician referred them to Dr. Anbar to treat some mild anxiety. Dr. Anbar uses hypnosis to help people with conditions that either haven't responded to medicine, or for when you want to avoid using medicine. He treats conditions ranging from IBS to veggie aversion to depression.

Hypnosis doesn't mean he swings a watch in front of your face and tells you to act like a chicken. He teaches you how to go into a deep state of concentration, which you can then access easily through training.

In the last session, he had my daughter visualize a place where she could relax. The sights, the smells, sounds, etc. She spent a lot of time relaxing and picturing the "happy place." She also had to pick a gesture that she would link to the place (she chose thumbs up), so from now on, when she does a thumbs up, she will be taken back to that meditative state.

It's been very effective, with daily practice. Last night, for example, she had trouble getting to sleep. Where before she would keep herself up with anxieties, she was able to employ her relaxation methods.

When school opened up back to in person learning, my 7 year old daughter went through some anxiety to a level where we as parents weren't able to help. Thankfully our pediatrician referred us here, and after a couple months with Dr. Sarwar, my daughter gained the tools she needed to confront life with confidence and joy. I am so grateful for Dr. Sarwar and all of her efforts! She challenged my daughter to get out of her comfort zone and we are so happy we went with Center Point Medicine!

We were referred to Dr Anbar by my daughter's neurologist at CHOC. We adopted her as an older child (12 years old) from foster care. She experienced severe trauma & abuse with birth mom. She has PTSD with years of sleep deprivation/interruption from horrible nightmares that make her re-live her trauma. Her neurologist, who is a sleep specialist, recommended we see Dr Anbar. He is a pediatric pulmonologist that specializes in hypnosis.

Because my daughter's abuse is so severe, Dr Anbar started slowly with her, so as not to re-traumatized her any further. The results are slow but steady. Dr Anbar is kind, gentle and compassionate.

We drive down from Orange County every other week. He gives me daughter "homework" to work on and she reports back to him re: what helped (or didn't help) to alleviate her nightmares. Then he will build on the progress (or lack of) each time.

Well worth the 1.5 hour drive (one-way)!

My son has been seeing Dr. Anbar for over a year now and I noticed significant progress within the first 2 therapy sessions.
My son had an autoimmune disease that was so severe that he was unable to attend school for 5 years. He would stay in his room and not allow anyone to help him other than family members. He had severe OCD anxiety and fear to name a few symptoms. Dr. Anbar was able to help my son where several hospitals therapists and facilities had failed. My son is now back in school full time doing amazingly well. Dr. Anbar showed my son ways to empower himself and take back control of his life. We see Dr. Anbar for my 17 year old son. My son has seen different counselors and Dr.'s thru out the years but it was always a chore to get him to go. The first time we met with Dr. Anbar my son had an instant connection with him. Dr. Anbar is kind,understanding and actually cares about his patients. My son looks forward to going to his appointments. The best part is, he has found someone he trusts and confides in. I wish we would have found him long ago. Our daughter was experiencing anxiety about performing well in school. She began having trouble focusing in class and while doing homework. As one might expect, the anxiety grew while we have been social distancing due to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. Dr. Anbar has been a great help.
