Not sure if size matters
The study guide is a good tool to use. It is top notch quality and pleasing to the eye. However it is much thinner than I originally anticipated (i was expected a larder book like 5 steps to a five or barron's books). Good tool to get a month before the test but not so good to get at the beggining of the year to use as a learning aid. As you can see in the photo it is about the size of a small highlighter.

Arrived just in time and had all of the necessary information to complete the exam.

I do not know where the other reviews are coming from, I believe they are being paid to write good reviews, but BUYER BEWARE. 90% of this content looks like it was copied and pasted from Wikipedia or something else with encyclopedia type formatting. It does not give you any tips whatsoever on the AP Biology test, but rather some generic info on standardized testing. The practice tests at the end are absolute garbage and do not match the AP Bio Test format at all. They are "look for the facts" type of question rather than real, analytical, AP type questions. There is also no free response questions. The paper looks like it was just printed off a home printer. Whoever "wrote" this book (there is no author or copyright) clearly has not taken AP Biology or the exam. I believe the sellers are scammers. Do not purchase this product if you plan on doing good on the AP Biology exam.

Full of mistakes. Material not representative of the new AP Bio test. Save your money.

Let me just say, for the $3.99 price it's listed at right now is absolutely amazing. This AP Biology study guide could easily be worth more- in terms of the knowledge, help, and study skills it provides you with. Great, great, great!
The book itself is 107 pages long- making it not too thick and definitely very light. (Perfect for carrying around in your backpack!) The book contains many black and white images- all of which are described and help visualize the material being mentioned.
This book is set up in an extremely organized and easy to follow way. There is a table of contents to direct you consisting of a "Quick Overview", "Test-Taking Strategies", "Cellular Processes", "Evolution", "Genetics & Info Transfer", "Interactions", a "Practice Test" complete with answers and explanations.
Within each section, different topics are bolded to help you quickly find what you're looking for. For example, within the "Cellular Processes" section, there is a bolded sentence that says "Cells and structural organization". Under this, is a paragraph explaining in detail all the main points about that specific topic. I find this extremely efficient to navigate, and each paragraph is well written and easy to understand. I'll include a picture so you can see what I mean! (Another great quality about this book is it gets straight to the point- the MAIN things you should know.) <-- And main points are exactly what you need to know for the test.
The practice test is multiple choice and is 100 Questions long, and covers a broad arrangement of topics (so you can see if you REALLY know/understand the material). Following the test are explanations as to why __ is the right answer - and each explanation (I feel) is well written and makes sense.
For example, one of the questions is " Which biome is most likely to support the growth of epiphytes?"
A) Deserts B) Tropical Rain Forests C) Temperate deciduous forests D) Taigas E) Savannas
The explanation for the question says " B: Epiphytes are plants that grow in the canopy of trees, and the tropical rain forest has a rich canopy because of its density and extensive moisture."
The explanations too get straight to the point- clear and concise.
This book follows the AP Bio test moderately well. The AP bio test 2 sections - a multiple choice and a free response. What I feel this book misses are practice Q's for the grid in and the free responses. I wish the creator would add these in, along with maybe a description of what to expect on the test (as a reminder) and the time limit associated with these various sections. For $3.99 though... I feel like this book is worth the price, even without these (although it would be really nice! (: )
The images in this book are extremely helpful, the layout is clear to follow, and the main points are all there. For the listed price, I find this book a definite must have for all AP BIO students out there! Good luck on your test on May 9th- get that 5 !!

The AP Biology 2016 Study Guide made by Test Prep is a textbook and review preparation before taking the Advanced Placement Biology Test. This is a complementary material that is highly recommended for everyone who is just about to take the test or simply for someone who is looking to recover lost knowledge or to expand his actual knowledge.
The contents and its progression in information is well presented and orderly fashion which makes it easier to read, absorb and understand. The study guide seems to contain all the material required to complete the AP Biology Exam. It is presented as an organized book with 7 principal sections: Quick Overview, Test-Taking Strategies, Cellular Processes, Energy & Communication, Evolution, Genetics and Information Transfer; and interactions. At the end of this guide you may also find a Practice Test (multiple answers) with the Answer Key.
Each of the above mentioned sections are detailed in-depth and seemed to be quite accurate and very well organized. The way this book is formatted let you or any other reader the ability to clear notice concepts and structures, it will also give you a quick access to certain topics as they will be easy to find by just looking inside the book which is a plus benefit that comes from a well formatted book. Therefore, this book is written as easy to follow and the sections are well divided so studying it may become easier and friendlier.
The terms, terminology, wording and writing structure of the information contained on this study guide is not complicated scientific language so it will be easier for a student to get into this somehow difficult study subject. It is logically laid out and builds on the previous sections so it is easier to follow up page after page. You will find graphics and diagrams for an easier but comprehensive study guide with a higher attentiveness to read and learn.
The practice test includes the whole concept and subject and for each question you can review the actual key answer that also provides a reasonable and logic way to present the answer that will teach any student to properly understand the question structure and the reasons to come with an actual correct answer.
