The latest article on the website Museum Geographies is an illustrated review of the exhibition “The Place is Here” (Nottingham Contemporary, 4 February – 30 April 2017) – examining the history, cultural geographies, political aesthetics and legacies of the British ‘Black Art’ movement of the 1980s.

The article references wider contextualisation of the works and the period in focus – citing essays, articles and books by (among others) scholars Rasheed Araeen, Eddie Chambers, Stuart Hall and Kobena Mercer.
