Helping You Address Your Psychological Concerns

Seeking psychological treatment for yourself or a loved one is an important decision and we are grateful for the opportunity to help. I began Coast Psychological Services over 9 years ago to provide mental health services to the community. It was just myself, one office, and a desire to provide quality and scientifically sound treatments for individuals, couples, and families. Since that time the practice has grown in significant and meaningful ways. The technological, social, and global changes we have experienced since I first opened are remarkable. My understanding of supporting the community has also broadened. I’ve learned that when we work together cooperatively we can achieve great things one step at a time.

We are now comprised of a team of skilled and supportive clinicians and administrative staff. During these unprecedented times, we are all required to be flexible and adapt in the best ways possible to the realities of our situations. As we adapt our practice and make these changes with you, our clinicians and staff are doing their best to provide online telehealth support with the same commitment to our values and therapeutic integrity. We are ensuring optimal education, training, and certification of our staff in Telehealth therapies to deliver the best and most effective practices of online treatments to you.

Whether in person or in the privacy of your own home, our commitment is to know and understand you and your challenges so that we can tailor an individualized treatment plan for you geared towards results. Feel free to look through our website and learn more about how we can best support you and in what ways. We have information to share with you about our clinicians, the issues we work with, the ways we can help, our therapies, and how to get started.

Sincerely,

Dr. Liana Georgoulis, Psy.D.

Traditional in-office therapy sessions are currently available under certain circumstances. We look forward to being back in the office full-time when it is safe to do so. In the meanwhile, we are gladly offering all of the following telehealth services to you online via our HIPPAA compliant, secure video conferencing platform, TheraNest.

If done in accordance with recommendations of the American Psychological Association, teletherapy sessions can be as effective as traditional sessions and offer unique benefits. What Makes Therapy Beneficial

Most people do their best to manage their struggles on their own. However, the things that people do to cope or feel better can be problematic and may often worsen things in the long run.

A skilled clinician can accurately assess what a patient’s difficulties are and provide the appropriate interventions that will likely lead to long-lasting changes. Although people seek therapy for different reasons, the most common symptoms that patients experience include:

  • Emotional Pain or Distress

  • Problems With Relationships

  • Difficulty Managing Emotions

  • Problematic Behavior That Interferes With One’s Life

  • Feeling Impaired in One’s Ability to Function Most Optimally

  • Feeling Stuck and Aimless

Service Area/Insurance/Fees

We service the greater Los Angeles area in person and provide telehealth sessions throughout the state of California. We have various price points for various services listed above and offer different services at varying rates to accommodate as many people as possible. Weekend and evening appointments are available also.
