Citizen Hound

Citizen Hound is the absolute best. When I first moved to the city, I was on the hunt for someone to care for my golden doodle pup and came across Citizen Hound on Yelp. All of the rave reviews are true! My pup does the two walk pack every day and without it both she and I would be going crazy in our home.

My pup had to try out for the pack and show that she was a capable of training and a good fit for the pack. I really appreciated this part of the process because it made me feel at ease about the dogs she was going to be interacting with every day. Roxie was placed in Leticia's pack and she absolutely loves it! Leticia always sends loads of photos to us and she has really created a strong and loving bond with Roxie. We also were able to add in our golden retriever recently and he absolutely loves it as well. 10/10 recommend Leticia and Citizen Hound! It is worth every single penny to give my babies a fulfilling life with a friend group they can hang out with every day!

Over 5 years later and we still endorse Citizen Hound. My dog is now almost 6, he has been part of Citizen Hound since he was a puppy. I absolutely think this is the very best dog walking group in San Francisco. David and his team are outstanding. Red, my miniature poodle, loves his pack leader Stephanie. He is ecstatic every single morning when he is picked up. He is exhausted every single
afternoon when he is dropped back off. Red would not be the same dog without Citizen Hound. We love the entire team (this includes you Shannon)

Citizen Hound is an incredible dog walking group. My dog, Hank, has been walking with Citizen Hound since 2018. He loves his group and his walker, Shannon, so much. He also loves Molly. You really can't go wrong, all of the walkers are incredible.

They take excellent care of the dogs. They also send pictures throughout the walk, which brightens my workday everyday.

I highly recommend this company to anyone in the market for a dog walking service.

We've been with Citizen Hound for the last two years and they have been absolutely amazing with our Great Pyrenees Lab/everything. Our walker Shannon at Citizen Hound has given Chance a second family and every time Shannon comes to our door Chance is SO excited. Everyone on their team really loves what they do and takes care of their dog as if it was their own. We've worked mostly with Shannon, and sometimes Stacey, and they both have been absolutely amazing to Chance. They have been responsive, considerate, and send the most amazing photos that brighten up our day.

We cannot thank you enough for taking care of Chance!

I cannot review David and his team highly enough. Alex, Stacey, Leticia, all awesome! They take care of my dog like their own and treat me as the client as someone that matters. So grateful to be able to count on them and know my dog is in the best care.

I've loved working with the Citizen Hound team in the last year+. My girl has so much fun with the team and Stephanie is the most loving and caring walker every week. Her expertise is highly appreciated. Whenever she's not available, they are able to backfill with other excellent team members like Charlie and others. I highly recommend using their services because they can really be your second set of hands making sure your 4-legged love is happy and healthy!

When we started Citizen Hound I would have given them 10 stars if I were able.

When we got our 2nd dog- we immediately enrolled him at 10 weeks to "walk" in a backpack with the pack so he could be socialized until he was completely vaccinated. When the owner came for a consult with our puppy, he asked me to make him a cocktail. This should have been my warning sign- but I was dumb enough to brush it off.

After - it went downhill very quickly. The owner asked us to neuter our dog before recommended by our vet- which we did to keep our dogs enrolled. (Even though it could be a health concern for our breed of dog) He would reach out *weeks* after the fact, to say that our dog bit a dog while playing and would have to pay for behavioral classes and lecture me on my dogs issues. He also told many people that our dogs breed- French Bulldogs were "dumb" and apparently kept our dog on leash while telling us he was off leash. After too long of this toxicity and manipulations, we left.

Our "awful dog" has blossomed into the most amazing, responsive, compassionate dog (thanks to a Walker that actually cared, and lack of a negative daily experience) I don't know what happened in the walks with Citizen Hound to our "problem child" but leaving was the best thing we have done for him.

We've had two walkers since CH- one in the city and now in Tiburon, who we warned of David's "feedback" just in case their was something I didn't see at home. I asked for any feedback to help his behavioral growth. Both companies were amazed with his recall and discipline- which in turn helped with his anxiety. In hindsight- this made me realize the actual problem was Citizen Hound.

I'm sure David will try to delete this, but if looking for a wonderful Walker for your fur-baby, please look elsewhere.

Thank goodness for Citizen Hound! My husband an I say Citizen Hound is one of the best things we've done for our three-year old golden retriever, Pepper. Pepper goes out daily with the greatest dog walker, Molly, and comes home a tired, happy girl. Molly is all of the good things: reliable, communicative, trustworthy, calm and very funny to boot. We feel so lucky to have found a safe, fun pack for Pepper. We love how we can also use Citizen Hound as dog sitters whenever we go out of town. And finally, we've really enjoyed working with Citizen Hound owner, David, who offers the best advice on dog training and tips for our energetic pup. Thank you, Citizen Hound! We will continue to sing your praises to anyone in SF whenever they get a new pup.

We have had a really great experience with Citizen Hound for over 5 years now. Our Australian Shepherd always comes home happy and tired! We've had a few different walkers over the course of our time there, and they all have been really great. Our current walker, Stacy, goes above and beyond to help train our dog and gives us tips on any tricks that are working for him. We highly recommend Citizen Hound!

Words can't describe how INCREDIBLE Citizen Hound walkers and staff are!! Your dog walker gets to know the ins and outs of your dog & their behavior because they are consistently their point person (unlike other services where your walker is different depending on the day). Their walkers become a part of your family and are such a highlight of both you and your dog's day when they come to pick up :) David and Kayla run an exceptional business, all the accounting and scheduling is seamless. 10/10 recommend.
