Loving Olivia Wilde's look from the Golden Globes? Makeup artist Lauren Cosenza shows you how to perfectly mix olive and purple eyeshadows. Here, the how-to shown on actress Siobhán Williams from ABC's The Black Box, which premieres this spring:

1. Prep the eyelids with primer. Siobhán used Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion.

2. Sweep a taupe shadow onto your lids. "Apply a pressed powder shadow onto your eyelid with an eyeshadow brush, making sure to keep the color below the crease of your eye," Cosenza says. Siobhán used IT Cosmetics Eye Shadow Trio in "Pretty in Smoke."

3. Contour the crease of your eye with a charcoal gray shadow. "Using a charcoal gray shade (or the gray hue from the IT Cosmetics Eye Shadow Trio plattete above), trace the crease of your eye from the outer corner to a little past the midway point of your eye," she says.

4. Trace your top lash line with a bluish-purple shimmery eyeliner. Siobhán used Urban Decay 24/7 Gel Liner in "Ransom." "Then, add some olive eyeshadow over your eyelid directly above the purple liner and along your lower lash line to smoke out your eye a bit." Try Julie Hewitt Los Angeles Eyeshadow Pan in "Olive."

5. Fully line the inner upper and lower rim of your eyes with jet-black liner. "This is the most important step," says Cosenza. "The inky liner makes your eyes instantly pop and gives it that red carpet edge." Siobhán used L'Oréal Extra-Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner in "Carbon Black." Then, swipe on a few coats of mascara.

6. Finish with nude gloss. Siobhán used MAC lipglass in "Flesh."

Here's to looking red-carpet ready, just like Olivia, in five minutes flat!

Carly Cardellino was the beauty director at Cosmopolitan. If you follow her Instagram, then you know she'll try just about any beauty trend or treatment once (the pics of her purple hair are on IG to prove it). But her favorite part about being in beauty is finding the most effective products, and then sharing that intel with others—because who wants to spend money on stuff that doesn't work? No one, that's who. Her most recent discovery: De La Cruz Sulfur Ointment, which will change your blemish-clearing game! Hopefully through the beauty stories she writes—and the experiences she shares—you can see exactly why she's in this business.
