One Nation Under Blackmail is a damning indictment of the consequences resulting from the nearly century old relationship between both US and Israeli intelligence and the organized criminal network known as the National Crime Syndicate. This book specifically explores how that nexus between intelligence and organized crime directly developed the sexual blackmail tactics and networks that would later enable the sexual blackmail operation and other crimes of deceased pedophile and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Other books on Jeffrey Epstein focus on the depraved nature of his crimes, his wealth, and his most famous/politically-connected friends and acquaintances. This book, in contrast, reveals the extent to which Epstein’s activities were state-sponsored through an exploration of his intelligence connections.

A very interesting read with a lot of information I hadn’t read or heard about before. Makes me view the country I call home a little bit differently for sure.

So detailed. Difficult for me to follow. So many references to future and past chapters. But I keep reading. Slowly. Hoping some of it will stick for when I get to the next book containing information on Jeffrey Epstein which is who I’m interested in.

But this book in itself is extraordinarily interesting. Beginning in post WWII and continuing so far (I’m only on pg 243 of 500) through the W. Bush administration. To know that every US administration has aligned itself with drug traffickers, arms dealers, branches of the mob, known enemies of the state, assassins, and involved itself with murder, smuggling, human trafficking, the sex trade, Ponzi schemes, money laundering, bank fraud and so many other illegal activities that I can’t even remember them all. To learn that corporations like American Express, Bank of America, Pennzoil, The Limited, Victoria’s Secret, TWA aand more are all involved. And the banks! Every single one you can think of involved in these illegal activities. The CIA, the FBI, governors, district attorneys, senators, congressmen, cabinet members. Complete industries such as liquor, shipping, trucking, publishing, machinery and metal, and more. No hands are clean!!

I knew our government was corrupt but never to the extent that this book reveals. I can read only short snippets at a time as the information in this book is beyond disheartening to the point of devastating.

Whitney Webb is an amazing writer and a true savant. I have read this book which is a bit more detailed than I would like, however she has done all the work for you with bibliography and notes at the end of each chapter. She has research every ounce of this book. It is truly and unbelievable text. Our country has been corrupt for decades. The media has only scratched the surface of Epstein's bizarre life.
Truly a must read!!!!!!!!!

FOCUS PEOPLE! You'll need it to make it through this book, which is a fairly comprehensive rehash of the history of the relationships and partnerships between certain sections of the government, the military-industrial complex, the banking industry, and organized crime. Now, that is A LOT OF GROUND to cover, and this book could easily have been twice or three times as long as the over 500 pages it already is.

It is not so much about Epstein himself, but about the creation and functioning of the systems that allowed - and continue to allow - such a monster to not only exist, but to repeatedly get away with it. (If you're looking specifically about info on Epstein and ONLY Epstein, then you can pick up volume 2 and skip this one, though I do not recommend that you do that, for reasons I'll explain at the end of this review.)

For those looking for salacious details of Epstein's sex trafficking organization - look elsewhere. That's not what this series is about. It is about the much deeper and much more troubling systemic corruption that gave Epstein his incredible wealth and power over politicians, businesses, and the law enforcement agencies that were supposed to be watching him, but ended up letting him go time and time again.

Warning to conservatives: some of your heroes will be exposed as the truly evil people they are/were. I personally have no problem with this - to me, the truth is more important - but if you're the type of person who responds reflexively when bad things are said about conservative Republicans, then you'll have some issues with this book. Then again, if you can keep an open mind, and are old enough to remember the narratives presented at the time of the events referenced, you should be able to keep your preconceived ideas from blocking out the truth.

You'll have a much easier time with this book if you have some knowledge of the major corruption scandals of the 20th century - specifically Watergate, Iran-Contra, the PROMIS/Inslaw scandal, BCCI, and the S&L scandal, as well as the history of Israel and it's intelligence/defense apparatus. Even if you just remember the headlines from those days, it'll help.

The only thing this book is missing in my opinion is some sort of "family tree" showing in graphic form the interconnectivity of the "enterprises" involved. But, seriously, that would be somebody's dissertation given the volume of information involved. I also wish it was better edited with a little more connective detail, but then that would make this 5 or 6 volumes rather than just two. I'D love it... but I doubt many other people would.

The main takeaways are that - as long and as dense as it is - this is really an INTRODUCTION to the systemic corruption of America, not the last word.

If you're looking specifically about info on Epstein and ONLY Epstein, then you can pick up volume 2 and skip this one, though I do NOT recommend that you do that. This is IMPORTANT information that every American should know, not just for what happened in the past, but what is coming in the future - when blackmail will be a way of life, and where every American will live under constant threat of having the most intimate details of their public and private lives exposed. Blackmail will become THE defining crime of the 21st century, and, in many ways, already is - thanks to massive data harvesting entities and an anonymous internet where anyone can be destroyed financially with the click of a button.

Well written and researched. Too bad we can't do better as a nation.

This book is filled with information and its easy to get lost but its worth reading. The bottom line is that our world is run by nasty, evil people and they have no issue hurting the average man in order to keep their secrets. Our media and governments are compromised by a shadowy cabal of bureaucrats and military industrial men. Scary stuff, can't wait to read her volume 2 on Jeff Epstein.

Sehr viel Content.

Whitney Webb is a brilliant journalist/researcher who has delved back into the early 20th Century US history and what she has found is mind blowing. I knew that the banks and politicians in the US were hand in glove. However, this adds two extra ingredients: the CIA and organised crime. The CIA used organised crime and Banks to conduct its covert operations around the world using a complex web of front companies that were also used for money laundering by organised crime. The "Blackmail" in the title refers to the fact that to operate in this murky world and be part of the "club", politicians and others needed to have "form" so that they could be kept in line if required. The book joins up lots of things I knew about separately and I am looking forward to reading two volume 2 which goes into the Epstein period of the 90s.

Whitney really knows her subject. The pillars of society are set on a very shifty foundation. Small wonder that the entire global financial system is in such an appalling state of repair!
