Some iPhone 11 Users Seeing Increased Battery Health Percentages After iOS 14.5 Recalibration Process

No one is really getting more battery out of this. This accomplishes nothing but save Apple some battery replacements.
Wow I really hope ppl realise apple does this to make battery health indicator more precise and correct, nothing else, its not to save money on battery replacements or antything else, geez
Going to have to wait until the general release to see how it changes my battery health; currently at 88% after 19 months of daily recharging. I'm thinking along the lines of the other cynics here that this is just a way out of replacing batteries that no longer hold their charge, and not a more accurate reflection of actual battery health.
Did you find it weird too that it’s called Aeroplane Mode in my iPhone instead of Airplane Mode? It’s British English and ‘optimised’ is the correct spelling ?
CoconutBattery has been around for ages and does a pretty good job of reporting battery cycles and battery capacity.
Apple can’t figure out how to put these two values together and get an overall non-bs health status? Yeah right.
You’re wrong if you think Apple doesn’t appreciate the extra pennies they will save from not having to do as many in-warranty battery replacements thanks to this. This is the company that sells you a $1,000 phone without a charger.
I agree it’s more likely to prevent us from being robbed of peak performance. Performance management kicks in the moment the OS unexpectedly shuts down due to a power delivery issue related to the battery. At that point, you’re eligible for a battery replacement anyway and the health status will reflect that. Recalibration is very likely to the benefit of users because it stops the system from lowering performance when it does not need to.
If there’s going to be a scandal then Occam’s Razor applies here. It’s more likely a developer screwed something up in the code which takes the readings and the “recalibration” is actually a clearing of dodgy historical data and nothing more.
Here is the outcome of the battery calibration - 93%. In my case, before the 14.5 beta calibration began, I was at 100%. So I didn't see an increase in percentage, I saw a big decrease. What an awful experience from Apple.
Does anyone know what percentage is low enough that Apple will replace the battery when covered on AppleCare+?

The recalibration on my iPhone 11 finished a couple of days ago. It dropped from 92% to 85%. I really didn’t expect that! Obviously, I had hoped for a slight increase, not a significant decrease.
