Sebastien Haller gives a thumbs up from hospital bed as Dortmund striker undergoes first treatment for testicular cancer

SEBASTIEN HALLER has shared a health update following the news he had discovered a testicular tumour.
The striker, 28, was all smiles as he shared a photo on social media from a hospital bed.
Haller also gave the camera a thumbs up and he seemed in high spirits.
He then informed fans on the first steps of his recovery and thanked those who have looked after him since his diagnosis.
He shared the pic on Instagram alongside a caption that reads: "Good evening everyone I wanted to inform you that the 1st step has been accomplished!
"I would like to thank [Borussia Dortmund] and the medical team who have been exceptional with me.

Haller has received swift treatment for the tumour after only discovering the issue three days ago.
He immediately left Borussia Dortmund's pre-season training camp in Switzerland before undergoing further medical examinations.
There has been an outpouring of support for the former West Ham and Ajax star following the news.

Haller responded with a statement that read: “I want to thank you again from the bottom of my heart for all these many warm messages received I was very moved to see these beautiful reactions and I even feel like I don't deserve so much.
“But I know that thanks to you it will only be one more test on our way. See you very soon in the ground to celebrate our next victories.”
